5th July 2022 – An official ceremony for Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Xi’an Medical University, China, was done on 23rd May 2022 (3:00 pm, Malaysia time). Xi’an Medical University was represented by Mr Yan Fang, President of Xi’an Medical University, witnessed by Mr Yan Xizhang, Dean of Stomatology, Mr Mao Jing, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange, Xi’an Medical University’s staff and C&L Education Group members. Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) was represented by Professor Datuk Ts Dr Roziah Mohd Janor, Vice Chancellor of UiTM, witnessed by Associate Professor Dr Aida Nur Ashikin Abd Rahman, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Dato’ Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abu Hassan, Founding Dean of Faculty of Dentistry, Deputy Deans, Coordinators and staff of Faculty of Dentistry.

 

The signing of this MoU will establish a formal platform for conferences and academic exchanges, especially in postgraduate studies in dentistry. There is immense potential for UiTM to introduce and enhance research development in dentistry in Malaysia and beyond borders too. Additionally, there is indeed much opportunity for interdisciplinary research in innovative dentistry and the expansion of technology to support sustainable development. Overall, the strategic partnership between both institutions, UiTM and Xi’an Medical University, would leverage the universities’ global competitiveness in the development of innovative academic research.
